By law, many organizations must adhere to strict compliance regulations to protect their data. Because regulations can be complicated and are often evolving, many organizations choose a cloud provider with expertise in compliance matters. This includes regular testing of network vulnerability, regular assessments to identify non-compliant areas, and more. Some key compliance certifications include SOC 1 and SOC 2, concerning financial statements; HIPAA and HITECH for healthcare organizations; CJIS for government and law enforcement agencies; and PCI for companies performing financial transactions.
